The Oncology Graduate Experience

The Department of Oncology offers both MSc and PhD thesis-based degrees in two areas of specialization: Experimental Oncology, and Medical Physics, as well as a General Program. These research-oriented programs provide the tools to successfully design, implement and analyze experiments, and build students’ writing skills for publications and grants.

At weekly seminars, researchers and students openly share their work, enabling students to sharpen their skills in presentation and analytical thinking. Students also hone their ability to critically evaluate literature skills in a bi-weekly Journal Club, and can build leadership skills by participating in the Department of Oncology Student Council, and by helping to plan the annual Grad Student Outing as well as other events through the year.
